when it’s night time, I can look out my window and see the moon. when I do, sometimes I notice: the moon spins.

on it’s axis, like earth. but, of course, at a new rate.

the sun was something (and still is) something we look away from. though it gives us light, we do not gaze at it—because it hurts.

but the moon, the moon is alright to look at. for a little bit.

she holds irreplaceable treasures that sparkle, indefinitely, in her chest.
so much time has passed (since then.)

patiently, she lines them up—in memories.
though they remain warm, they’ve become brittle.

will she take out the only treasures within her?
or will she keep them hidden, locked away,

shut?

a question to strangers:

hey!
if, for example, we were to meet on accident:
do you think we could smile?
and talk about the clouds?

I know it’s clumsy.
and you know you’re you.

and we both know we’re strangers.

so let’s just remember these things, until we meet. that way, if we worry about troubling items, we can just put them away for a moment. and walk, and talk? it would be fun. no interjections, no limits.

…okay, a few limits… but no interjections!
but! you have to be willing. all people are strangers, and I am a person; so, like them, I am a stranger. don’t forget it.
